May 1: Missouri Helmet Law

Once again a bill is working its way through the Missouri Legislature to allow adults over the the age of 21 to ride motorcycles without a helmet. The bill is HB555.

The current legislative session ends on May 17 so if you would like to contact your state representative or state senator to express your opinion on HB555 you need to do so soon.

There are links to all state legistators (as well as a look-up in case you are not sure who your reps are) at www.moga.mo.gov. Just select the House or Senator tab and follow the links.

It would not hurt to also e-mail Governor Nixon with you thoughts on HB555.

Apr 29: Chapter Events

LOH Meeting – The monthly LOH meeting will be this Thursday, 7pm, at the Creve Coeur Lakehouse, 2160 Creve Coeur Lakehouse Rd, 63146. This is fast becoming one of the hottest events in town so get here early for good seats!

State Rally Rooms – There is still one room remaining in our block of rooms for the MO State Rally in Springfield on May 30 - June 1. If you want a room (or if you told me you wanted a room and I forgot), please let me know before this Friday. If your plans have changed and you do not want a room please let me know. Once I have the complete list I will transfer the confirmations to your name and you change can your arrival or departure dates.
