Kirkwood H.O.G. Road Captains
Hi, I am Duane Black, the Kirkwood H.O.G. Head Road Captain. If you want to be a Road Captain, please read the requirements below. Then, if you meet the qualifications and are willing to accept the commitments, fill out and submit the Road Captain application.
About the Road Captains
Being a Kirkwood H.O.G Road Captain is a privilege. As a Road Captain, you are one of the people we count on to assist with the safety of everyone on the ride. We trust that you will take the responsibility of being a Road Captain seriously. You become one of the people the Chapter counts on to keep its rides safe and enjoyable. Road Captains work as a team to assist with the safety of all. You lead by example and enhance the Chapter's riding exeprience.
Requirements to become a Road Captain
- Successfully complete the Experienced Riders Course (ERC) and have at least 5 years of current riding experience.
- Attend Road Captains monthly meetings and annual orientation meetings.
- Ride as an apprentice assigned to an existing Road Captain until the Head Road Captain and Team Leaders agree that you are ready for full duty.
- Commit to attend at least 50% of the club's rides and events and 50% of the Road Captains' monthly meetings.
- Maintain a valid license with motorcycle endorsement, motorcycle insurance, and curent National and Kirkwood H.O.G. memberships.
