Starting in 2008, we will continue to offer the Christmas party at no cost to any Chapter member who has volunteered three times during the current year.  Any Chapter member is welcome to attend, even if they did not volunteer three times, but there will be a $10 charge.  All non-members will be charged $15 to attend.  Lynn Black, Chapter Secretary, will maintain the official volunteer list and you can check with her anytime during the year to see how many times you have volunteered.  If you have a spouse/guest that attends our Chapter rides and events, they can become a Kirkwood member by becoming an Associate National H.O.G. member, and then they can become a Kirkwood H.O.G. member, volunteer three times, and attend the party at no charge.  Only Kirkwood H.O.G. members can attend the Christmas party at no charge by volunteering.  This is a similar program to the other local Chapters.

Our goal is to make it possible for all Chapter members to attend the Christmas party at no cost, you just need to volunteer.  It is the volunteers that make our Chapter great and we would like to have all Chapter members be active participants.  So, just volunteer three or more times in 2008 and you will be covered for the party.  With plenty of rides and events to volunteer for, you will meet a lot of people, have fun, get VIP punches, and not be required to pay for the party.

Examples of ways to volunteer are: work rides (sign-up, stops, etc.), work events, volunteer at the State Rally, volunteer at Doc’s Open Houses, volunteer for the monthly trash pick-up, collect donations for the annual “Toy Buying”, volunteer for the Christmas party or volunteer for LOH events.  With so much going on, we always need volunteers.

There are members who volunteer on a regular basis and they are included if they are:  Road Captains, Ride Chairs, Ride Co-chairs, Event Chairs, Event Co-chairs or Chapter Officers.  We appreciate the support these members provide.

Again, our goal is to have all Chapter members attend the 2008 Christmas party at no cost.  All we ask is that you participate in the Chapter by volunteering.
